The watch that’s focused on fitness
If you’re looking for a fitness watch the new Fitbit Blaze might be the perfect match. With excellent build quality, fantastic battery life and intelligent tracking features it offers great value at below $200. Yet it’s awkward method of charging and unpredictable wrist movement to activate keep it from shining as brightly as it could. We give it an 4 out of 5 on the TC scale and recommend that its worth buying especially if you can find a deal.
The Top Questions for the Fitbit Blaze Fitness Watch:
Is it better than the Apple Sport Smart Watch?
The Fitbit Blaze has more than double the battery life of the Apple watch. It automatically tracks activity and sleep and has a much lower price point. The Apple watch is more comfortable on the wrist and has a bigger selection of apps. Both are fantastic but if this purchase is all about fitness then the Fitbit Blaze is probably better for you.
I’ve had a Fitbit watch before and couldn’t see the screen in sunlight. Does this have the same problem?
This smart device has a much bigger and brighter screen. Whether it’s day, night, sunny or overcast you’ll be able to see the screen without issue.
Does this watch have an always on display option?
No it does not. What it does have is a quick-on option for when you twist your wrist to view the display. However this movement can be sometimes hit and miss.
How well does is track bicycling as an activity?
This depends on whether you have the smart watch connected to a smart phone while riding. If you do and you have the right apps then it can be very accurate recording your routes and speeds. If you do not have a smart phone connected it will only track your heart rate but you can define bicycling as the activity you’re doing for more accuracy.

Is this watch waterproof?
The Fitbit Blaze is not waterproof. It is water resistant only. This means you’ll be okay if you are sweating, if it’s raining or if you get splashed but don’t wear it while swimming. You might be able to get away with wearing the smart device in the shower but its far from recommended and may cause damage to the band as much as the watch.
