Our Mission
HeyTC exists for people who think about quarterbacks way too much.
We focus exclusively on NFL quarterbacks—past, present, and future—and build tools and coverage around the most important position in professional sports. Every ranking, article, and simulator on this site is here to answer one core question: “How good is this quarterback, really… and what comes next?”
We publish:
- Daily QB rankings that move with every snap.
- All-time and team-by-team QB histories to put today’s stars in context.
- Film-driven analysis, draft outlooks, and trade value rumors filtered through QB impact.
- Original tools like the HeyTC Super Bowl Simulator to explore “what if” futures.
Everything is guided by our Editorial Policy, which explains how we handle accuracy, independence, and AI assistance. For how we protect your data and govern site usage, see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
How HeyTC Works
We want our work to be transparent and repeatable, not mysterious. Behind the scenes at HeyTC:
- We review games weekly, including broadcast footage and advanced metrics, to adjust our Daily QB Rankings.
- We track historical performance to build team-by-team QB legacies and all-time lists.
- We build and refine algorithms for rankings and tools like the Super Bowl Simulator, and we log major updates in our public Changelog.
- We use AI as a tool, not a replacement—supporting drafts and ideas, with humans in full control of the final say. Articles labeled “AI-Assisted Content (AIAC)” follow clear rules laid out in our Editorial Policy.
For a deeper look at one of our flagship tools, see our Super Bowl Simulator Methodology.
Our Founder: Malcolm Michaels
HeyTC was founded by Malcolm Michaels, known as “TC” for more than 25 years—a nod to his Twin Cities roots in Minneapolis–St. Paul.
Malcolm has spent his entire career building things on the internet: games, communities, media brands, and now a quarterback-obsessed analytics shop. His background combines product management, editorial leadership, marketing, and audience growth at scale.
Highlights from his journey:
- GiddyHep Games (1996–2000): Founder of a video game site for players, later acquired by Intermix Media (MySpace’s parent company).
- Daily Dementia (1998–2000): Host and producer of an early online radio show with IGN, featuring guests from studios like id Software, Blizzard, Bioware, and more, along with weekly guests Amer Ajami, Geoff Keighley, and Tim Tibbetts (RIP, my friend).
- Fox Interactive Media (2000–2006): Senior Product Manager overseeing a large budget, launching online games and platforms, and helping reach tens of millions of users worldwide.
- Jenkat Games (2006–2014): Founder of Jenkat Games and JenkatGames.com, a casual gaming portal that grew to millions of unique users per month before its assets were acquired by iWin.
- Sportsnaut (2014–2019): Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Sportsnaut, grown from a startup into a multi-million-user sports destination with a dedicated editorial team. The Publisher Desk acquired Sportsnaut in the fall of 2019.
- The Publisher Desk (2019–2022): Head of Sports Vertical, leading the growth of Sportsnaut and other portfolio sites and driving meaningful gains in traffic and revenue.
- Rock This Town Records (2022–2025): Owner of a vinyl record shop in Gilbert, Arizona, with in-store shopping, online sales, and nightly live-streamed record shows. The store became a local hub for music lovers before closing in May 2025 as Malcolm shifted his full focus back to digital products.
Across all of those roles, the through-line has been the same: build something from zero, grow it to millions of users, and lead teams that ship. At HeyTC, Malcolm is applying that builder mindset to one niche: quarterbacks.
He brings more than two decades of experience in editorial, digital strategy, SEO, e-commerce, product management, and team leadership to a site that lives and dies on one thing—accurate, honest QB evaluation.
When you see “Malcolm Michaels” or “TC” on a byline, you’re reading someone who’s been living and breathing this space for years—not a random content farm byline.
Our Journey (So Far)
HeyTC officially launched on September 27, 2025 as a small, quarterback-only project. It quickly grew into:
- A daily QB rankings hub that tracks how every starter and key backup is playing right now.
- A historical archive that honors each franchise’s QB story, from Hall of Famers to “wait, who was that guy?”
- Home to our Super Bowl Simulator, which projects potential Lombardi winners over the next 100 years using data and probability—not vibes.
We’re still early, still shipping fast, and still obsessed with making this the internet’s most trusted quarterback resource.
Why Quarterbacks?
Quarterbacks touch the ball more than anyone else. They take the blame when things go wrong and the ring when things go right.
At HeyTC, we believe:
- You can’t understand the NFL without understanding its quarterbacks.
- Rankings should explain why a QB is climbing or falling, not just throw numbers at you.
- Historical and modern perspectives matter—what a QB means to his team, his era, and the bigger picture.
That’s why our coverage stays narrow and deep instead of broad and shallow.
