Why We Publish a Changelog

At HeyTC, a lot of our value lives in algorithms and tools you don’t see directly—daily QB rankings, fantasy scoring logic, Super Bowl Simulator probabilities, and in-development projects like trade tools.

This public Changelog exists to show what we changed, when we changed it, and roughly how it affects what you see on the site, without exposing any proprietary code.

December 19, 2025

HeyTC Super Bowl Simulator v1.5.3

• Added a full viral share loop with per-team share icons, GA4 tracking, mobile-responsive share UX, and native Web Share/X intent handling so fans can blast their sim results from both desktop and mobile.
• Introduced six-tier emotional share templates (this year, next year, soon, medium, long, cursed) with 1,280 total fan-voice variations, improved share banner positioning, and removed URLs from share text for better X/Twitter reach.

Result: A much more shareable Super Bowl Simulator that turns runs into social posts, captures engagement in GA4, and speaks in the same emotional language real fans use.

QB Rankings Engine v1.5.0

• Expanded from basic CRUD to a full background-processing engine with AJAX refresh and live status, one-click “Refresh All,” scheduled 6 AM daily refreshes, smart ETag pre-checks, and a redesigned premium sports editorial admin UI with sortable Title and Last Updated columns.
• Hardened stability and performance with better background job handling, smarter caching, and a series of reliability fixes and UI tweaks for a smoother admin workflow.

Result: A far more automated, resilient, and efficient QB rankings engine that keeps tables fresh with less manual effort and fewer cache or refresh issues.

HeyTC Super Bowl Simulator v1.4.3

• Modernized the engine for WordPress 6.9 with REST API endpoints, async/await Fetch calls instead of jQuery AJAX, moved inline scripts, and shipped follow-up bug fixes and accessibility improvements.
• Refreshed the admin UI with a light editorial theme (Bebas Neue + DM Sans, warm white background, cleaner cards), a “Defending Champ” highlight, larger type, clearer strength bars, and layout polish for toggles, headers, and spacing.

Result: A more stable, future-proof Super Bowl Simulator that feels cleaner and easier to read while staying fast and maintainable behind the scenes.

• Confirmed WordPress 6.9 and PHP 8.4 compatibility (with array_last usage and a polyfill for older PHP), tightening core behavior across different server environments.
• Added and refined a fixed orange “SIM FUTURE SUPER BOWLS” CTA between content and tabs—with conditional display by tab, smooth hover animation, and JS bug fixes—so the Super Bowl Simulator promo is prominent without breaking layouts.

Result: A more stable, compatible NFL Division widget that cleanly promotes the Super Bowl Simulator while keeping division schedules and standings easy to browse.

• Rebuilt the Fantasy QB ranking algorithm from the ground up and deployed it to the Daily QB Rankings.
• Fixed early-season biases so modern usage, rushing QBs, and different play styles are reflected more accurately.

Result: Fantasy-oriented QB evaluations now better reflect modern usage, rushing impact, and situational scoring upside.

• Replaced an off-the-shelf SEO plugin with a custom, lightweight solution built specifically for HeyTC.
• Added QB entity linking, tuned schema, stronger security/performance, and an Auto-Magic News Sitemap for fresh QB coverage.

Result: Improved discoverability and structure for both readers and search engines.

Super Bowl Simulator & Rankings Enhancements

• Updated the Super Bowl Simulator model and internal rankings logic that drive how teams are evaluated in simulations.
• Officially paused active work on QB Trade Vortex until the offseason to keep focus on in-season features.

Result: More realistic futures in the simulator and better resource focus during the season.

• Brought core QB valuation logic (mapping, heuristics, formulas) to alpha with data pipelines wired into admin tools.
• Started early front-end scaffolding for future trade scenario flows while we validate and tune the model.
